Oppo F15 review: build, design and display
The device is offered in 2 color options Lighting Black and Unicorn White here. We have its Unicorn White variant which looks very attractive.
It is very comfortable to use with a polycarbonate build and significantly reduced thickness. The buttons on both sides can be used easily. At the bottom, you are also given a Type-C port with a 3.5mm audio jack.
From the front, the phone looks quite good with a water-drop notch and a thin bezel display. If something could have happened, the bezel at the bottom could have been a bit thinner, but this is not particularly important.
display
The AMOLED display looks quite good with a 6.4-inch size, in which the color is quite vivid and the view angle is also quite good. The in-display fingerprint sensor works quite well. Apart from all this, with the DRM L1 certification, you can easily stream HD content on Netflix and Prime Videos.
Oppo F15 review: performance
The F15 uses the MediaTek P70 chipset. This chipset can be said to be a bit old but with the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option given on the phone, it is capable of giving good performance. For now, you have been given Android 9 based Color OS 6 software on the phone, but soon there will also be an upgrade to Color OS 7.
performance
Despite some drawbacks, the Oppo F15 is very well used in daily use. Even in gaming, this phone will not disappoint you much but you too can expect only a limit. PUBG and Asphalt 9 can be played in phones but on medium settings.
Oppo F15 Review: Camera
In Oppo's latest Oppo F15, you have been given a 48MP primary sensor. Apart from this, you also get an 8MP ultra-wide cascade, 2MP monochrome, and 2MP depth sensor. On the front, you also have a 16MP front selfie camera.
Camera
The image output is good in good lighting, in which the details are also satisfactory. The colors also look very natural. By turning on Dazzle Mode, you get even more bright images, but textures have to be compromised. Shutter speed is normal but autofocus sometimes gives little trouble.
Ultra-wide sensors also serve as macro lenses here but you cannot use it by yourself. Also, in ultra-wide shots, there is little detail and sharpness on the edges, but at this price, you cannot expect better than this.
In today's time, low-light and night photography also matters. Oppo F15 has a dedicated night mode, in which you get high exposure but the noise can also be seen clearly. Personally speaking, I would suggest you capture images without night mode.
As far as selfie is concerned, the image output is slightly soft. Portrait mode gets a little more detail and depth, but the bale effect cannot be said to be as good as expected. Face unlock with selfie camera is quite fast but in low light, you may have to adjust a bit.
Oppo F15 Review: Battery & Audio
Talking about the battery, the 4,000mAh battery given in the phone is capable of giving good backup. To charge the phone, a 20W VOOC 3.0 flash charger has been provided in the box here, which gives the phone a full charge in about 1.5 hours.
Display fingerprint unlock
A speaker grille at the bottom gives a good audio output. Apart from this, nothing special can be said about the phone's audio catalog.
Oppo F15 Review: Verdict
This latest smartphone from the company is one of the best phones in terms of design, but with the Mediatek P70 chipset, it looks a little behind. If you like gaming more, in addition to Snapdragon 730 or 730G chipset, you can buy a phone with MediaTek G90T at the same price.
The F15 offers trendy features like slim and stylish design, AMOLED display, and VOOC fast charging, but when looking at the chipset, it does not become among the top phones priced below Rs 20,000. If you look at the price and specification combination of the phone, then it seems to compete with phones like Realme X2, Redmi K20, and Note 8 Pro. So if you like to buy smartphones offline then it can become perfect devices for you.
The merits
- Camera feature
