In recent times, users are paying a lot of attention to smart speakers and for the introduction of smart homes, they prove to be the most important ingredient. Till last year, Google had a significant edge in this segment, but from the very beginning this year, Amazon introduced Alexa speakers in the Indian market with much better marketing, with much better performance.

At the time of the festival sale, the company introduced its latest Echo speakers with Fire TV Stick Air Smart Bulb at a discounted price and this strategy was also very successful as many people have bought Echo under this cell.

Out of the entire lineup of Echo speakers, the Echo Dots is being liked a lot because its price is also affordable and it is the best option for users who are using Smart Home items for the first time.

Amazon Echo Dot With Clock Review: Smart Clock

The new Echo Dot Clock Edition looks completely similar to the Echo Dot 3rd Gen in terms of design and size. Here you have been given a small LED display through the fabric, just the rest looks the same.

Only one extra clock is provided in Echo Dot, the rest is the same. We believe that this clock cannot feel towards Echo Show 5 in any way, but seeing anything other than a clock on an LED screen proves to be a very good experience.

Apart from the time, the LED display shows functions like temperature, volume level, countdown timer, alarm, which is much better because you can easily see how long the alarm is or how much the temperature is.

Another thing is that the LED display supports auto-brightness, which means that the brightness will decrease automatically at night.

The button system at the top functions as before. There are 4 buttons here in which 2 buttons are volume control, 1 button to the mute microphone and the last button is the action button. In addition, you can tap the top surface to avoid the alarm for a few minutes. You can also press the action button to turn off the alarm.

There is also no difference in the function of the ring given above. When Alexa hears your command, it flashes in blue while the mic turns off when it turns off. Apart from this, you get a yellow ring at the time of notification.

Like its previous partner, it also has a power input and 3.5mm headphone jack at the back. In terms of size, it is similar to the Echo Dot 3rd generation only because of the LED display, the weight here becomes 100 grams extra.

Amazon Echo Dot 3rd Gen with Clock Review: Audio Output

Alexa's ability to speak in both Hindi and English languages is getting very better in the last few months. With the new language, Alexa now proves to be better for people who talk more in Hindi, as well as for children and children at home.

You can set the default language for Alexa to Hindi or English. Apart from this, on the multi-language set, you can easily talk in both Hindi and English without changing the language.

Alexa Echo Dot supports more than 750+ skills and their numbers are increasing over time. Alexa still does not offer as good response to the context as we would expect. Along with this, in some places, you still have to use a special command, not a speech in the common language.

If you talk about audio quality, then there is no change here compared to the regular Echo Dot (3rd Gen). Despite the compact size, the audio output is quite sharp and clean enough for a large room. The 1.6 ″ side-speakers clearly deliver better audio than Google Home Mini or, say, Nest Mini.

Mike's response is also much better, but it can only be said that for a room, for a big situation you have to raise your voice quite fast. If you are very close to Alexa, now with the new update it will give you a very loud voice and reply in a light voice which is a good thing for the night.

Amazon Echo Dot with Clock Review: Conclusion

This clock version of the Echo Dot 3rd Gen is a good and new member of the lineup of Alexa smart speakers. Because the rest of the things look the same, it cannot be called a next-generation upgrade of Echo Dot.

The Echo Dot looks even better as a nightstand with a smaller display. For now, it is available for sale on Amazon for Rs 4,999, which is Rs 1000 more than the regular Echo Dot. So is it worth spending 1,000 rupees extra for a clock? I think yes because even this small display gives you a very good experience.

Amazon is now offering Echo devices from time to time in very good discounts or combo offers, they reduce their price even more so from my part it proves to be one of the best smart speakers.
