Samsung has not kept any shortage here and has made very attractive changes in both of its devices which will be very profitable not only in today's time but also in the future.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus Review: Design

158.1 x 73.8 x 8.5 mm; Weight: 189 grams
84.2% screen-to-body ratio
IP68 Dust and Water Resistant
You cannot expect a new design from a brand every time. The same happened at the time of Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S7, the company did not change the design. In the same way, the design in the Galaxy S8 and S9 / S9 + K is almost the same, at least from the front side it will be said.

The fingerprint sensor has been given the right place which can be used easily. Although we have encouraged the fingerprint sensor given in the front, you cannot expect a front fingerprint sensor at the time of the full-view display. The phone has also given you a more attractive face-unlock and iris scanner which can be un-locked to your phone even more easily.

Another improvement made here is to give a better oleophobic coating to the display. Here Galaxy S9 + gives you better screen protection than S8, so that there is no mark on the display, due to which you will not need a lot of screen protector.
Both the size and design of the Samsung Galaxy S9 + are similar to the S8.
The 18: 9 screen ratio or full-view or infinity display has now become a common feature, which is still needed today, but curved edges are still a special feature provided by Samsung today.

On both the front and rear of the phone, you have been given Gorilla Glass 5 which looks the same but gives a very attractive and premium look and is also water-resistant.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 + is also very comfortable to hold and operate.
The phone's display is protected from all kinds of spots. Samsung has also provided a fairly soft TPU case with the phone.

The Galaxy S9 + has dual speakers in one bottom and one with the earpiece.
An additional camera sensor given in the phone and the new space given to the fingerprint sensor shows a clear distinction between the two.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus Review: display

6.2-inch 18.5: 9, Super AMOLED QHD (1440 x 2960)
HDR 10 supported, 3D touch buttons
Always-on display
There is no doubt that Samsung makes the best Super AMOLED screen, and the screen is given in Galaxy S9 + is much better. The white color now appears more neutral, the color and contrast are quite attractive, and the screen looks quite bright.

DisplayMate has given the display of S9 + the best display rating of Aab and we also agree with this.

Here you are given 4 perfect display profiles- Adaptive Display (widest color gamut), Cinema Mode (DCI-P3), Photo Mode (Adobe RGB), and Basic Mode (sRGB).

The Samsung Galaxy S9 + is the best display of all time.
The display is quite bright and lively. Where you also get the option to choose 1 out of 4 display-profiles.

You are also given the facility to reduce the display scale to save the battery.
As always, Samsung has also given a blue-light filter, video enhancer, and some other features this time, which is quite profitable.

You are also given some more widgets on Always-On Display.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus Review: Camera

Rear camera: 12 MP (f / 1.5-2.4, 26mm, 1 / 2.55 ″, 1.4 µm, Dual Pixel f / 2.4, 52mm, 1 / 3.6 ″, 1 µm, AF)

Front Camera: 8 MP (f / 1.7, 25mm, 1 / 3.6 ″, 1.22 µm), AF

The new and improved 'Re-Imagine Camera' is the biggest feature of the Galaxy S9 +. This is the first phone to come with an f / 1.5 aperture lens, in which you have also been given a variable aperture optics system, slow-mo video recording, multi-frame noise reduction. Good RAM for faster processing and a separate section for AR emoji is provided in the app.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus Price

Last year we have seen very good and better camera results (Apple iPhone X and Google Pixel 2 XL). Which is why the biggest issue is whether Samsung's claim for the camera is true or not? So let's see:

Due to the dual aperture, the day-light performance of the Galaxy S9 + becomes much better. Insufficient day-light, the handset changes the aperture to f / 2.4 and takes a much better image, while in low-light the lens becomes quite wide-open f / 1.5. You can also change the aperture mode in Pro mode by yourself.

The image taken from the Galaxy S9 + clearly shows that much has been improved from the Galaxy S8. The camera software is still quite sharper and after processing, exposure in low-light also increases, but the final result is quite balanced and no noise is visible. Camera performance is much better and you can get perfect shots in the first place itself.

In the end, we will say that this is the only camera phone that can compete in Pixel 2 / Pixel 2XL in terms of low-light performance.

Note: The above image has been resized so you can see some camera samples of Samsung Galaxy S9 + by going to Flickr Link.

Looking at the camera results of flagship phones, it is quite difficult to say which is better. If according to the situation you can get better images through Pixel 2 and iPhone X but we believe that Galaxy S9 + is the most consistent performer among these three phones.
Video recording also gives a very attractive experience.

Portrait mode is still the best in Pixel 2. The Galaxy S9 + detects the edge easily but sometimes gives little trouble in background metering, but the camera output is still much better.
Slow-mo videos are much better. In Sunlight, you can shoot very slow slo-mo, due to a little noise in low-light or indoor lighting, the fun of slo-mo videos reduces a bit.

AR Emojis is still in a state of improvement that it would be wrong to compare it to Apple's An emoji. The biggest problem here is that the emoji created does not match very hard.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus Review: performance and software

Exynos 9810 octa-core (2.7GHz 4x M3 + 1.8GHz 4x Cortex-A55); DynamIQ architecture
Mali G72 GPU
6GB RAM; 64GB / 256GB storage

The Samsung Galaxy S9 + is the fastest smartphone to date that we have tested. Even after using it for a long time, our Note 8 still retains its flagship performance, after which we can expect even more than the Galaxy S9 + Humokok will not disappoint after some time and will keep its performance on the same side.

We still cannot say whether it is better than Snapdragon 845 processor because it is not available in India yet. It may be a matter of concern here by Samsung to show so much confidence on the Exynos 9810 chipset but we will ignore it if it helps to increase battery backup. As a user, the performance we are getting is quite good even for the most demanding applications.

Experience UI 9.0 has a lot of new features. But the best is to run the phone on Android Oreo. Apart from this, a lot of new and useful features such as widgets on the Always-on screen, auto-rotate for the home screen, change in color of the navigation bar, etc. have been included. But there is no specific change in the UI.

Bixby voice assistant is just like before, but real-time translation has been added here. We used Bixby to use and change the settings on the phone and we were quite impressed. You can easily go to Always-on settings by Bixby, open WhatsApp or Facebook, or any other application comfortably.

Like Google Assistant, it will still take some time to understand the context and present the information from the Internet very well. And Bixby Vision is still a little incomprehensible.

The Galaxy S9 + is the best Samsung flagship phone we have used so far.
You can choose between 64GB and 256GB storage options.
The phone does not have any heating problems.

Here we will clearly say that Bixby is very useful, but not like Google Assistant.
The fingerprint sensor is quite fast.
Face unlock and iris scanners do not feel different from the previous Samsung flagship.
We did not face any connectivity problems.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus Review: Battery & Audio

3500mAh; Fast charging; Wireless fast charging
Stereo speakers; 3.5mm audio jack

The 3500mAh battery gives you a 1-day battery backup on normal usage. You may also have to do some mid-day charging if you use more. The phone has the facility of fast charging with both wire charger or wireless charger. The battery backup of the Galaxy S9 + is slightly higher than the Pixel 2XL but remains slightly behind from the OePlus 5T. Personal opinion, I expected a bit more backup given the battery size.

Samsung has actually improved the audio experience on the Galaxy S9 Plus. Stereo speakers are extremely sharp and clean, and the quality of audio via headphones has improved significantly. More importantly, it is the only high-end flagship phone that still comes with a headphone jack.

Battery backup is comparable to other major phones. You can get a one-day battery backup comfortably on medium usage.
Fast charging is supported on both wired and wireless chargers.
Audio output via loudspeaker is much better. The audio output through the headphone jack is also excellent.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus Review: findings, features, and drawbacks

To review this phone, we shifted from our Galaxy Note 8 to the Galaxy S9 +. So we did not see any distinct difference in the phone. However, the S9 + has been improved a lot with a much better camera and display. You will love battery, performance, and software upgrades.

Compared to the S9 +, the S9 + Plus has given you more RAM, bigger battery, and an extra camera sensor which will force you to buy it provided you don't want a compact phone.

The merits
  • Beautiful design
  • Great display
  • Impressive camera
  • Android Oreo
  • Best Audio Experience
