Samsung has introduced very attractive smartphones under the A-series in the last few months. In the last 2 months, we have got 7 smartphones in the A-series. This new strategy changed with Samsung's mid-range segment seems to be quite effective as the series has sold 2 million units in the first 40 days of launch.

We are talking about the Galaxy A20, this device is better than the M20 or can say that it seems to act as a bridge between the two variants of the M20. On the Galaxy A20, you also get to see A-series features like good design, fast charging, AMOLED display, and OneUI software. All these features make the device much better but can it prove to be better than Realme 3 Pro? And will it appear to meet the lack of flash cell of Note 7 Pro? So let's know the answer to all these questions in the review of Galaxy A20:

Samsung Galaxy A20 review: design and build

In the Samsung Galaxy A20, you get to see almost all the good features of the A-series. The device offers a premium 3D glass-back view made of polycarbonate. In this, you also get USB Type-C port and the body feels quite strong in use. Personally speaking, these devices look like the Galaxy A30, except for the AMOLED display and the Infiniti-V cut-out.

Galaxy A20 looks very slim and attractive, which gives a comfortable feel when held in the hand and is also very easy to use. We have its red color variant which we like very much, but the rear fingerprint sensor is slightly higher than normal, which may take some time to get used to.

Samsung Galaxy A20 review: display

Samsung has provided an AMOLED display in mid-range phones under the A-series but the resolution is HD +. Despite the low resolution, the display looks quite attractive.

Due to the HD resolution, the text that appears on the display seems slightly fuzzy but the normal user will not know any special difference.

AMOLED Panel Here you get 4 color presets in addition to the best contrast, natural white, in which the use of the default profile will be good for your eyes. The screen is not as sharp but looks quite balanced.

Samsung Galaxy A20 review: performance and software

Samsung uses Exynos chipsets only in its M-series and A-series. The Exynos 7904 chipset, despite being new, does not outperform the Exyos 7885 but is better than the Exynos 7884 given in the Galaxy A20.

This device is provided with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, in which a dedicated card slot is also given, in which you can also insert a card up to 512GB.

If directly said, the Galaxy A20 is a device primarily offered to the basic user, which does not get strong performance but there is no problem in daily use. Normal gaming can also be done easily but high-end gaming gives a little problem.

Talking about software, it proves to be the biggest feature of this device. In this new OneUI of Samsung, you not only get a lot of user-friendly experience, but it is also well optimized for performance. Like all the recently launched Galaxy A-series phones, the Galaxy A20 also offers HD streaming.

The fingerprint scanner is very fast and accurate but after reading the fingerprint it takes a little time to turn on the screen. Face unlock is also faster but slightly less than expected.

As far as the call quality is concerned, it is quite good. Dual 4G VoLTE support is available but dual-band Wi-Fi support is not provided in the A20.

Samsung Galaxy A20 review: camera performance

In the Galaxy A20, you get to see their best camera software from Samsung. Camera performance also looks much better according to this price.

The handset has a 13MP rear camera sensor at the back and a 5MP wide-angle sensor. The camera is capable of producing very good output in proper lighting. The colors are also good with good details, a wide dynamic range in the image.

The Galaxy A20's camera focuses on the object very quickly, but it leaves a slight decrease in the indoor. Tricky lighting does not properly blur the sensor background.

The details appear with a lot of noise when shooting low-light images, but the camera software presents them as usable output.

The wide-angle camera helps a lot in taking landscape photos, but there is also a slight rotation of the edges of the image.

The camera sensor uses live-focus only when looking at a face, that is, you cannot get blur effect on a normal object.

The 8MP selfie camera also takes better images in good light but disappoints a bit in low-light.

Overall, the camera performance of the Galaxy A20 is not as effective as we had expected but looking at the price, it can be said to be satisfactory.

Samsung Galaxy A20 Review: Battery

The Galaxy A20 has a large 4000mAh battery with fast charging support. Battery backup is quite long, we used the device as a primary phone and we easily get a backup of more than 1 day.

The fast charger is provided in the box. Like the Galaxy S10 and Note 9, the device has a 15W fast charger in the box, which can be said to be a good move according to this price. The device charges up to 35% easily in the first 30 minutes.

Samsung Galaxy A20 Review: Conclusion

If you talk about the specification, then the Galaxy A20 seems to be competing with phones like Realme 3 Pro and Redmi Note 7 Pro with its price. But if you use all three phones without knowing, then you can use Galaxy A20 as a good option.

The design of the device is quite good, the phone is easy to use and compact. OneUI software looks much better, with AMOLED display looks attractive.
