Samsung Galaxy A70s review: design and build
The design of the Galaxy A70s is not very different from that of the A70, due to which it looks very similar to the Galaxy A50. Here also you have been given 3D glass design in which glass design means plastic like glass.
design and build
Like the Galaxy A50, you also get a slightly underrated gradient finish on the back panel, which looks slightly attractive with different colors at different angles. In this latest variant of the A-series, you have been given a triple camera setup at the back.
With a 6.7-inch Infinity-U display on the front, it cannot be called a compact phone but the device feels quite comfortable when used.
The display has very thin bezels all around and despite being such a large size, the phone weighs only 183 grams. The polycarbonate body gives the device a sleek design and gives a good feel when held in the hand. Viewing media content on the phone's display looks much better, but there is definitely some difficulty in using the phone with one hand.
The Galaxy A70 has an optical fingerprint sensor placed inside the display along with the protection of Gorilla Glass 3.
Apart from this, giving triple card slot, 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port in the phone is quite a good step.
Samsung Galaxy A70s review: display
Like other A-series phones, the Galaxy A70s has a sAMOLED display which looks quite attractive with its large size.
display
The 2400 × 1080 pixel resolution in the AMOLED display makes it quite sharp and the 20: 9 aspect ratio makes it an ideal device for the media experience.
Personally, what I like in the display is the color and the dark black color. With a brightness of 420 nits, the display can also be used outdoors. The touch sensitivity of the display is also quite good.
Samsung has also given the necessary certification to stream HD content from Netflix and Amazon Prime here.
Samsung Galaxy A70s review: performance and software
The Snapdragon 675 has proved to be Qualcomm's best mid-range chipset and the A70s look much better than the A50s in terms of performance.Samsung has given 6GB RAM and 128GB storage option with 2Ghz octa-core chipset here. Along with this, the dedicated card slot comes with 512GB storage support. This Samsung device performs quite well according to its price.
The Galaxy A70s proves to be much faster than the Redmi Note 7 Pro. The difference in performance is due to optimized software and storage speed. In the Synthetic Storage Speed Test, the Galaxy A70s looks twice as fast as the Redmi Note 7 Pro.
In daily use, you can easily play PUBG and Asphalt 9 in Galaxy A70s. We also tested these games on the device, so the experience is quite smooth and leg-free. Apart from this, the heat is also less compared to A70s, Note 7 Pro.
Talking about the software, in the Galaxy A70s you get Samsung's OneUI with Android Pie, so if you have used Samsung's phone before, OneUI gives a new experience. Galaxy A70 is a Samsung smartphone introduced in India, which has a full version of Samsung Pay.
Samsung Galaxy A70s Review: Battery & Audio
Another feature of the Galaxy A70s is the large 4,500mAh battery given in it. A 25W fast charger is available in the box to charge the battery, which can be said to be the fastest charger in the A-series for now. Even after using it as a primary device all day, 15% of the battery appears in the phone.
Camera
On the Galaxy A70s, you get to hear audio output with Dolby Atmos support. The audio output via headphones is also quite good but the output from the mono speaker is not as good as we expected.
Samsung Galaxy A70s Review: Verdict
If said in a line, the A70s is clearly a camera upgrade variant. It is easy to use even when the phone size is large. In the phone, you clearly see an improvement in the camera. In addition to better and bigger AMOLED display, bigger battery, fast charging support, the latest OneUI software has also been given in Galaxy A70s.
Verdict
If you see a shortcoming, then the chipset of the phone can be said to be a bit weak considering the gaming, because at this price you will definitely get a better chipset. If you look at the price, Galaxy A70s can be said to be an attractive option for an offline buyer at a price of Rs 28,999.
The merits
- Long battery backup
- Better design
- AMOLED display
- Dedicated Micro SD Card Slot
- Slow in-display fingerprint sensor
- Slightly weaker chipset
