HP Chromebook x360 review

When asked by the general user, the laptop is the only Windows or Mac computer on the Indian market that has made the Chromebook less popular in India. Some users may not have even heard of you. This ultrabook comes with Chrome OS, the operating system offered by Google.

Last week I used the Chromebook x360 as the primary device. Before I start the test, I want to make it clear that I'm not going to compare the x360 to the test window or Mac. This is a good laptop that has its own operating system. Therefore, it was introduced especially for the younger class. Let's start with the HP Chromebook x360 test:

HP Chromebook x360 review: design and creation

Let's talk about the design first. The Chromebook X360 has a hinge that can be rotated through 360 degrees. So you can use it by placing it at any angle. The hinge on the laptop is very strong and helpful for long periods of use.

If you leave the connectivity aside, it is attractive in terms of design. The hood of the laptop has a ceramic white surface with aluminum that looks pretty slick. The chrome logo is also on the top. According to the company, this matt surface is scratch-resistant but has not yet been tested.

The Chromebook is quite slim with a thickness of only 16.05 mm and weighs 1.6 kg. It seems pretty easy. You can move it easily with less weight. As soon as you open the laptop's cable, you'll see a 720p webcam, but face unlock isn't supported.

HP Chromebook x360 review: display, keyboard, and audio

It has a backlit IPS WLED display with a size of 14 inches. If we talk about color, brightness, viewing angle, then it is also as expected. One thing that I found bad is that the panel is pretty shiny and reflective. When the lighting is fast, you may have difficulty working on the screen.

Touch also gives a very good response. You can easily use it in a tablet or flip-in mode. You will get a good experience even if you use the specified keyboard. Speaking of the trackpad, there is a lot of space here, which is quite comfortable for your fingers.

When we talk about Chromebook, you also get some additional hidden features, which is its specialty. Here are some special buttons on the pad that are useful for various Chrome OS functions. If you have difficulty using them, you can also change them to your liking. Apart from that, there are also some shortcuts and gestures that make the experience even better.

The X360 also offers two speakers matched by B & O (Bang & Olufsen). One speaker is in the base of the laptop, while the other is over the keyboard. The output from both is pretty loud and clear.

HP Chromebook x360 review: battery and connectivity

The HP Chromebook X360 can provide 11 hours of battery backup with a 60 Wh Li-ion polymer battery. Personally, I like Power Backup a lot because it can be called a perfect backup for office work. In the Crosh test, the laptop consumes 77.86% battery in 8 hours.

A 45 W power supply unit with 2 USB Type-C connections is available as a charger. The laptop will charge 25% in 15 minutes. There is also a USB-A port, a headphone jack, and an SD card slot. A disadvantage is that there is no HDMI connection here, which is why you cannot connect an external monitor.

HP Chromebook x360 review: conclusion

The changes Apple made with its iPad series and Microsoft with its Surface Go series can be seen as an alternative to the Chromebook. So can you call it a value-for-money device?

conclusion

Yes, but it also depends on your personal preferences. You may not like the HP Chromebook.

On the one hand, HP has presented a laptop with a design with a better touchpad, better audio output than the average and a beautiful display. You can also use it in different formats.

This laptop will be liked by Photoshop users who don't play much. This internet surfing can prove to be the perfect device for viewing multimedia content. There are some disadvantages along with some features of Chrome OS.
